The Kingdom of Dragons Part IV

The dragon smith set up his creation on a small, lonely island on Earth, on the outskirts of the Kingdom of Dragons. Waves crashed onto sharp rocks and seagulls cried in cloudy skies. He set the foundations deep within the ground but still needed to forge other parts with starlight to put together the rest of his creation. To do that required his forge from beyond Earth, where he created objects from starlight itself, using stars more powerful than Earth's sun.

And so, he bid the Earth farewell, returning to his forge he had left behind while searching the cosmos for the circlet. It was time to return to some of the most chaotic and dangerous parts of the galaxy.

The dragon smith's old forge was a still-forming planet, its solar system in chaos. The small planet was what the Earth itself looked like billions of years ago, a hellish landscape with asteroids and planets colliding with each other in the distance. This solar system's sun was the kind that would go supernova when the clock ran out.

It was perfect for the smith's purposes to use the planet's close proximity to the massive star. He shouldn't have even lived long enough in space to make the journey light years across with all sorts of problems outer space threw at him. Other dragons, including those from the stars like him, couldn't make great feats like that, no matter how strong they were to face the elements. It was one of the reasons he was the blacksmith, and they were not.

Nonetheless, the blacksmith couldn't change the time. By now, it's possible a new ruler ascended the throne, the ice dragon's heir now possibly queen. Unlikely, since the dragon smith knew his way around the cosmos, but still possible.

The dragon smith then set to work, ready to return to Earth as quickly as possible.
